Message to Maine Senators about the Bush energy bill

From our earliest days, we Americans have supported a substantial population of snake-oil
salesmen. But to our credit, we have at least demanded that these parasites provide us with
entertainment by telling us a good story. Promoters of the Senate energy bill are no longer
bothering even to tell a good story. All they have for us is in-your-face greed because we
can’t do anything about it. But you can do something about it, Senator. You can stand up
against mortgaging the future of the many to line the pockets of the few. Please oppose the
energy bill.
